Portrait Project

My favorite picture is the one of Nick. I didn't do any filters on this picture, but I think it still turned out to be a good picture. I think that this is my strongest one because I feel so strongly about him and it came out in my art work. It shows what he is about; the Air Force. When I went to see him in Texas, I was trying to get a picture of him smiling, because he was trying to be so serious. Then I got this picture while he was smiling. I love this picture so much. I love turning pictures black and white, then making one part of it colorful.

I like the picture of me too. It's kind of the same as Nicks, it's black and white with some color. But in mine I used one filter. I think this picture shows my character, because I am always making weird faces.
I like to keep my pictures simple, but I should probably start making them more difficult. These two picture are similar because of how they look and what I did to them, with the black and white then color. Mine is different because I did use one filter in it. They are different angle of the people as well. This project helped me understand photoshop a little more. I started experimenting with the different filters and brushes. Overall, this project was successful.

  1. I like the one of your boy friend because of the shadowing and the army shadow in the back it really tells us about him. I also like your because you did i great job filtering and really making this piece look great.

  2. Even though they're both very similar in that they are mostly blak and white with one object colored, it's still a neat technique to use. The background of Nick's photo is really cool too because there is some good line usage and composition involved. Well done!

  3. The picture of you definitely shows who you are. I love the black and white with the splashes of color. The filter you used with your picture looks really good with your curly hair. The picture of Nick works well with what you said in your description. The black and white represent the seriousness around him, but his smile brightens up himself. Nice work :)
